Nokia has come up with its new N85 multimedia phone collection for the Indian consumers. Nokia N85 is a dual slider phone which promises to give its buyers a whole new package that one looks for in a ‘smart phone’.  

Devinder Kishore, the Director- Marketing of Nokia India said, “The Nokia N85 was created to be more than the sum of its parts, offering a complete mobile entertainment package. Combined with landscape gaming and dedicated gaming keys for additional comfort, the Nokia N85 breaks the boundaries of mobile gameplay,”

Finnish giant Nokia has made announcement about the launching of its latest sleek looking, compact dual slider N series phone, named ‘N85’ in the Indian market.

With an aim to provide ultimate gaming experience together with feature-rich experience, the newly launched handset comes with 15try-and-buy mobile N-Gage games plus a voucher for one full game license.

Helsinki - Finnish-based Nokia, the world's biggest mobile phone maker, said Thursday its operating profit dropped 21 per cent for third quarter 2008.

Operating profit for the quarter was 1.46 billion euros (1.98 billion dollars), compared to 1.86 billion euros for the corresponding business period 2007.

Net sales dropped 5 per cent in the quarter to 12.2 billion euros.

Nokia estimated that its share of the global handset market in third quarter 2008 was 38 per cent, compared with 39 per cent in the third quarter 2007 and 40 per cent in the second quarter 2008.

Technology giant Nokia has made announcement about the appointment of Bollywood beauty, Priyanka Chopra as the brand ambassador to endorse its brand with the intention to create deep connections with its young and style savvy users. 

Priyanka will be seen in the company’s new advertising campaign with the tagline “It’s not just a phone; it's who we are”, which would be on air from next week. 

Finally the official launch of Nokia 5800 Express Music phone also known as the “Tube” took place. The company is hoping that this set which has particularly been designed for music lovers would be a triumph in the market with its exclusive touch screen feature.

Nokia’s Comes With Music, which the company had been creating hype for since last year, has finally been set to be launched along with the first compatible handsets. From 16th October onwards, this service, which allows the users to download unlimited music will come into action on a small handful of models, both old and new, in the UK. The service will arrive in US and other countries by the early 2009.
