I’ll force my way back into the Pak team: TanvirIslamabad, Feb. 20 : Pakistani left-arm fast bowler, Sohail Tanvir, whose surprise omission from the list of 15 probables selected for the forthcoming home Test series against Sri Lanka left many shocked, has said that he will soon force his way back into the national squad through hard work and performance.

"I am not at all depressed at losing a place on the Pakistan Test side. Rather, I would concentrate on putting in even better performances in the matches to come," The News quoted Tanvir, as saying.

Javed MiandadLahore, Feb. 4 : Pakistani speedster Sohail Tanvir has attributed his return to form to former coach Javed Miandad.

The left arm pacer who was dropped from the third one-day international against Sri Lanka last month because of his poor form, shown signs of getting his rhythm back when he took eight wickets in a domestic Quaid-e-Azam trophy match.

Tanvir said that he contacted Miandad after being dropped from the national squad, who advised him to work on his run-up and accuracy.

"The tips helped me a lot and guided me to overcome my poor form," The News quoted Tanvir, as saying.

Sohail Tanvir signs deal with South Australia

Sohail TanvirLahore, Dec 16 : Pakistani Fast bowler Sohail Tanvir's exploits for his IPL team, Rajasthan Royals, has earned him a deal with South Australia for the current season.

Sohail would leave for Australia on December 26 where he would take part in five Twenty20 matches.

He is seeking the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) permission to join South Australian for the current season.

If permission is granted, he would leave for Australia on December 26, The News reported.

Sohail Tanvir is currently representing the Federal Areas Leopards in Pentangular Cup, which concludes on December 24.

Karachi, Nov 28 : Pakistani cricketers Sohail Tanvir and Kamran Akmal were in dining Mumbai on Wednesday evening when terror struck several places in the financial capital, especially hotels Taj Palace and Oberoi, and Nariman House.

The duo was shaken by the terror strikes.

“It was unimaginable, the terror and the loss of life. It was really unfortunate and I’m hoping that things will get normal here in Mumbai,” The News quoted Tanvir as saying in an interview to a Pakistani TV.

The Pakistani pacer was named as the best bowler of the inaugural IPL season.

Lahore, Oct 30 : After being crowned as the “best Twenty20 bowler”, Pakistan pacer Sohail Tanvir has reportedly vowed to prove his mettle in ODI and Test cricket too.

The left-arm pacer is expected to play a crucial role when Pakistan face the West Indies at Abu Dhabi in a three-match ODI series to be held from November 12 to 16 and then against India early next year, which includes three Tests, five ODIs and a Twenty20 match.

“It will be a huge series. It will be a great platform for me to show the world that I can excel in ODIs and Tests as well,” the Daily Times quoted Tanvir as saying.
