New Delhi, Apr 27: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) General Secretary Arun Jaitley on Monday rejected demands for the resignation of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, saying that the Supreme Court has only asked the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe certain allegations.
“There is nothing against Modi. No enquiry has named him,” Jaitley told reporters here.
When asked whether Modi would resign after the SC directions, Jaitley said since the matter was pending before the apex court, the party would not like to say anything more on the issue.
