Neil Nitin Mukesh and Katrina Kaif looked so gora together on screen in Kabir Khan’s New York that one of them had to tone down the fairness-quotient.

And naturally, the chosen one was Neil. He had to use tanned makeup in the film. Laughs Neil, “All three of us Katrina, John and I are light complexioned. John had a nice dark tan during the shooting in Philadelphia. But it was a fight between me and Katrina on who was looking fairer. She used to accuse me of looking more fairer than her.”

The Bipasha Basu and Neil Nitin Mukesh starrer ‘Aa Dekhen Zara’ has got another reason to be back in the news. The film which is all set to hit the BO later this week may become the first film to release in single screens even before the strike called by Bollywood producers and distributors formally begins on April 3.

Yet another weekend has passed by for Bollywood and it is clear that there would still be some more time required before industry as well as audiences would be smiling again. Three films released over the weekend gone by but none of them took an opening which could be termed as good, let alone be considered terrific! (On second thoughts, except for RAAZ - THE MYSYERY CONTINUES, no other movie release this year has seen a terrific start with 'Dev D' being only good to an extent)

Neil Nitin Mukesh is disheartened. Over the entire weekend gone by, he was keeping his fingers crossed for his second film 'Aa Dekhen Zara' to arrive in multiplexes all over the country. However, his prayers haven't quite been answered since premier multiplex chains across the country are still not screening the film at their properties.

"The multiplexes have cheated us in the last minute and are pressurizing us to give them a deal which is not possible", says Neil in a hurt tone.

Three releases almost coming back to back in the upcoming weeks have a common thread. Neil Nitin Mukesh - Bipasha Basu starrer Aa Dekhen Zara releasing on 27th March, Akshay Kumar starrer 8X10 Tasveer directed by Nagesh Kukunoor releasing on 3rd April and Vashu Bhagnani's son Jacky's launch pad Kal Kisne Dekha having a tentative release date of April 10th all are having its main lead hero's having special powers.

What’s up with Neil Nitin Mukesh? He’s just one film( ‘Johhny Gaddar’) old and he’s acting pricey already. Maybe he’s basing it all on the films he signed thereafter- ‘New York’ and ‘Aa Dekhen Zara’.

Nagesh Kukunoor is the one who’s bearing the brunt of his highhandedness.

There was a time when newcomers would fight hard to be a part of a Nagesh Kukunoor film. But that now is a thing of the past.

Nagesh is currently trying hard to get two of his films- ‘8 x 10 Tasveer’ and ‘Aashayein’ to see the light of the day.
