101-year-old Brit twins say secret to long life is ''not sitting still too long''

London, Jan 1 : Brit twin sisters Betty Richards and Jenny Pelmore are celebrating their 101th birthday saying secret to long life is ''not sitting still too long''.

Britain''s oldest known twins were born half an hour apart in Manchester on January 1, 1908.

The sisters were both married but are now widows. Richards, who was a kindergarten teacher, and later became a beekeeper, has two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Pelmore, from Feock, near Truro, was a secretary and became an accomplished painter later in life.

At the age of 97, the twins began attending night classes to learn Spanish, and last year they visited Budapest to celebrate their centenaries.
