Survey: Facebook Is The Best Innovation Of Past DecadeIn the poll by website Offers Supermarket, Facebook has been chosen as the best innovation of the past decade by Britons.

Over 1,000 Britons were asked to name their favored three innovations of the Noughties, and around 73% results comprised the social networking site among their selections.

The iPhone stood on the second place, directly followed by Twitter.

Some of those interrogated stated jeggings - a cross between jeans and leggings - were among their favored discoveries and 2% voted for X Factor's twins John and Edward.

Satellite Navigation was also on the listing

The top 10 innovations of the past decade comprised Facebook (73%), iPhone (62%), Twitter (58%), the MP3 (51%), satellite navigation (46%), iPod (43%), YouTube (39%), HDTV (30%), GHD hair straighteners (23%) and 3D films (19%).

Website creator Eve Atkins stated, "As the concept of our website is to offer consumers the top 10 best products available at any given time, which we research for the consumer, we thought it would be interesting to know what the buying public felt the top 10 products of the past decade were."
