London - Sunderland completed the signing of striker Darren Bent from Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday for a club-record transfer fee of 10 million pounds.

The 25-year-old England striker signed a four-year deal, breaking the 9 million pounds Sunderland paid Hearts for goalkeeper Craig Gordon.

Bent joins three other summer signings at Sunderland in Fraizer Campbell, Lorik Cana and Paulo Da Silva.
