Sun TV To Launch ‘FM Station’ At Shillong Under SFM
India’s second largest television network Sun TV Network is all set to launch its FM Radio Station at Shillong under the brand name ‘SFM’ from June 13.
The company will launch the new FM stations through its Subsidiary South Asia FM Ltd. The new launching will increase the total number of Sun’s radio stations to 41 across the country.
Heard at 93.5 MHz frequency in Jamshedpur, the new FM Radio Stations will cater to the audience of all age groups.
SFM has already launched stations in different cities including Lucknow, Bhopal, Indore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli, Visakhapatnam, Tiruchy, Vijayawada, Bangalore, Thiruvananthapuram, Hyderabad, Kochi, Rajkot, Jaipur, Tirupati, Madurai, Thrissur, Tuticorin, Nasik, Allahabad, Pondicherry, Kozhikode (Calicut), Varanasi, Rajahmundry, Kanpur, Mangalore, Kannur, Jabalpur, Mysore, Guwahati, Jamshedpur, Vadodara, Aurangabad, Ahemdabad, Warangal, Nagpur, Gulbarga and Asansol.
The company will shortly launch 4 more stations, as it holds license for 45 FM Radio Stations across India. With the opening of more radio stations, Sun TV will become one of the biggest radio broadcasters in India.

The stock of the company, on Friday (June 13), marked its closure at Rs 338.05, down 0.8% on the Bombay Stock exchange (BSE).
