Sufficient Sleep Vital for Better Arousal in Women

A study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine unveiled that sufficient sleep is important for healthy sexual desire in females.

If women are facing problems in the bedroom then they need to assess whether or not they are getting enough sleep. After the analysis, if the answer is no then they need to improve their sleeping habits. For every extra hour of sleep, women will experience 14% increase in their sexual response.

The research was conducted on 171 women participants. The participants were asked to complete the surveys, which included questions their sleeping habits in fourteen consecutive days. The researchers shared that number of hours every participant had on a given night was linked to their sexual desire on the next day.

The researchers said that women who had good sleep on a particular night witnessed increased sexual desire the next day. This made the researchers conclude that sufficient sleep is important for health sexual desire in females.

Proper sleep could be considered good for libido, according to research team. Therefore, all those women who had good sleep for longer hours reported fewer problems with regard to arousal in comparison to those women who had slept for shorter time period.

Not many studies have been conducted on the impact of sleep on sexual arousal and desire. But the latest study shows that insufficient sleep can have wrong impact on sexual desire and response in women.

The researchers also found that on a given night, if women are exhausted and tired and go to bed the same way they end up being sexually aroused the next day. But then also, lack of sleep did have an impact on sexual desire and response. It is not that more sleep is better, but it is vital to have proper sleep for a human mind and body.
