Success and failure a part of life: Modi
Former Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) president Lalit Modi, who lost his post to Sanjay Dixit, is down but certainly not out of action.
Just after the result of the elections, Modi left for Macau to attend a wedding celebration.
In conversation with DNA from Macau, he said success and failures are a part of life and it should not affect one's life. “We have to move on since we have a lot of work to do,” he said.
Modi, who lost his RCA battle for which he was preparing for the past 30 days and moved various courts in this regard, termed the elections as a battle well fought.
“I think we did very well as the margin was close,” Modi said, mincing no words while indicating the role of the government.
“With the entire government against you—we did very well,” he added.
With the Indian premiere league (IPL) slated for next month, the IPL chairman is busy preparing.
While in Jaipur on Sunday, he had said that the result of RCA elections would not affect the schedule of IPL matches and would be played in Jaipur as per schedule.
Meanwhile, the new executive committee after taking over the RCA is mapping out plans to take forward cricketing activities to new heights in Rajasthan.
Ashok Ohri, secretary of RCA, said cricket has changed a lot and need new directions.
“We need to distribute work to all the office-bearers of RCA and need to respect each other for bet-ter functioning of the RCA,” said Ohri.
He said Modi had developed infrastructure and given new vision.
“We hope that he would continue extending his co-operation for the development of RCA,” said a hopeful Ohri.
