The white color version of Sony's PlayStation 3, which has been available in Japan since last year, will go on sale in the UK by Christmas season.

The new version will be offered exclusive through retailer GameStop in the UK. It will be available with 320GB storage priced at £249.97 in the UK market. The 320GB white PS3 is identical to the black version except for the lighter exterior. The exclusive model will come with a pair of white Dualshock pads.

As the device will be available in time for the Christmas shopping season, it will go against the Nintendo 3DS and Xbox 360 with Kinect.
