Slovak teens planned to kill teacher, police say

Bratislava - Slovakian police have detained two 14-year-old boys suspected of plotting to kill a teacher at their juvenile detention centre, media reports said Thursday.

After another student tipped off authorities, police seized metal hooks, scissors and a sharpened wooden wedge that the two boys had hidden, broadcaster TV Markiza reported.

Police believe they wanted to kill the teacher with blows to the neck, the report said.

The juvenile detention centre is in the central Slovakian town of Cerencany, near the Hungarian border. (dpa)
