Shane Warne meets his 3-D hologram at National Sports MuseumMelbourne, October 27 : Aussie leg spinner Shane Warne was amazed to meet his virtual self when he visited at the National Sports Museum, which now houses a three-dimensional hologram that can make people feel that they are actually in the room with the former Test cricketer as he discusses his career.

The hologram called Shane Warne - Cricket Found Me has been made using the latest technology available.

"That''s the first time I''ve seen that. I''m very happy with that. I think it''s come off fantasically," theage. com. au quoted him as saying.

The virtual Warne talks with the visitors about key moments in his cricketing life, including his Test debut against India in 1992, the infamous ''Gatting ball'' at the start of the
1993 Ashes tour, and his 700th Test wicket.

He describes himself as "a bit of a fat bastard" early in his career, before he emerged as arguably the best bowler in history.

Warne thanked the Melbourne Cricket Club for making the exhibition a permanent addition to the museum.

"I haven''t been back here since they built the museum. It looks absolutely fantastic," he said.

"To have the opportunity to do the ''Pepper''s Ghost'' was a great opportunity for me.

"I have got a very close relationship to the MCG. I''ve been coming here since I was a young kid - watching AFL football, and playing cricket for Victoria and Australia, which has been an absolute pleasure," he added.

Warne also revealed that the production process proved quite a challenging experience for him.

"It did take a bit of time and I did stuff up a lot of lines. I had to rehearse it and rehearse it and do it again and again and again," he said.

"It''s going to be fantastic for people around the world to come here to the National Sports Museum and the MCG and look around and have a look at this. As an Australian we can be very very proud.

"It took a fair bit of time. There were no lines. There was a bit of prompting but it was basically off-the-cuff," he added. (ANI)
