Sensex closed at peak
Today the Indian equities set a good show at the Sensex while making a close at a pessimistic note however the off intraday mounts reflected gains with the global cohort. The stocks that charted the Sensex were the one lying in the domain of IT, realty and banks while the power stocks closed with a lower margin.
Whereas the Bombay Stock Exchange's Sensex closed at 17641.49, moving up by 170.46 points or 0.98 per cent. The index hit an intraday elevation of 17728.37 and by a low of 17536.48.
On the other hand side the National Stock Exchange's Nifty showed up at 5292.10, trailed up by 51 points or 0.97 per cent. The index stroked a shrill by 5320.30 and squatted at 5242 in today's trade.
The BSE Midcap Index showed up by 0.81 per cent and BSE Smallcap Index trailed by 0.60 per cent higher.
Amidst the sector indices, the BSE IT Index moved up by 1.53 per cent, BSE Realty Index went ahead by 1.52 per cent soaring and BSE Bankex expanding by 1.27 per cent.
The amongst the winning list the one were Sterlite Industries with 3.36%, SBI with 2.22%, ICICI Bank with 1.99%, TCS by 1.90% and Hindalco Industries by 1.80%.
