Bollywood heartthrob Sanjay Dutt would be on a two-day visit to Lucknow from March 14, Samajwadi party sources said.

During his visit, he would meet people and party workers.

Apart from this, Dutt would also attend a meeting of various cells of the SP's youth wing. The meeting would discuss the poll strategy for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. The meeting would be chaired by party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Speaking on this, a senior party member of SP said, “We have already geared up for the polls. At the meeting we will seek the blessings of netaji (Mulayam) and ask for his tips.”

While his father Sunil Dutt and sister Priya entered Lok Sabha on Congress tickets, Sanjay will contest as a SP candidate.

Lucknow has always been considered as the traditional domain of former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee.

However, the Bollywood actor is still waiting for the Supreme Court's green signal to contest. It can be recalled that Dutt has been convicted under the Arms Act in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case for possessing an AK-56 rifle for his "self-defence". He was given a six-year prison term under the Arms Act by TADA court.

It is learnt that Munnabhai has yet again stopped his shoots and left the unit of director Rohit Shetty’s All The Best. He also plans to wrap up his film promises soon to be able to concentrate single-mindedly on chalking out a political career in Lucknow.
