Sandra Lee will be Discharged for Home before she undergoes Additional Surgery
Television chef Sandra Lee, girlfriend of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, was admitted to hospital on Tuesday due to complications from a double mastectomy she underwent in May. As per People Magazine, Lee’s condition is improving and will be discharged to spend time with her loved before she needs to come back to hospital for more surgery.
Lee will be able to spend quality time with Cuomo and their pet birds before she undergoes more surgery. On the day when Lee was taken to hospital, Cuomo, 57, was attending a Billy Joel concert, but left the concert early to be with her.
On Friday, Lee’s team has updated a post on her Facebook page to share about her health and even uploaded a photo of Lee at home. The post read that many of the readers must have been aware that Lee has been in the hospital to fight off an infection due to a double mastectomy.
“As she has shared in her many posts over the last several months, she has experienced several complications pre and post-surgery. Sandra was hoping to avoid any further operations until her final reconstruction”, read the post.
Even after she is discharged, she will be on heavy antibiotics and monitoring of her health. She again has to revisit hospital to review and possible surgery at the beginning of next week. On May 12, Lee announced of being battling with breast cancer. She was diagnosed with it on March 27. Lee even posted on Facebook that she has been trying to come back to her daily routine.
