Samsung to launch Wave 578 in the UKSouth Korean electronics giant, Samsung is planning to launch its new Samsung Wave 578 smartphone on Oragen network in the UK.

Orange has already listed the device on the coming soon page on its website. The operator appears to be the only one to offer the device as the device is not listen on the coming soon pages on any of its rivals in the UK.

The Samsung Wave 578 features 3.2in TFT touchscreen and is powered by the company's own bada software instead of Google Android that features on most Samsung devices. Te device will come with the new near field communication technology (NFC) allowing customers to make mobile payments.

It will also feature WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth, GPS, a 3.15MP camera as well as offer access to Social Hub and Samsung Apps.

Orange said you can "take advantage of the amazing Quick Tap contactless payment technology and leave your wallet at home." The carrier will offer the smartphone for free on a pay monthly contract.
