The Samsung I9000 Galaxy S stylishly marks its debut in India. It is considered as one of the most powerful phones in it range. With features like 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird CPU and 512 MBs of RAM, this 4-incher displays images on a AMOLED capacitive touchscreen of 480 x 800 pixel resolution.

The multimedia feature includes a 5 MP camera that aids in capturing of high resolution (2592 x 1944) images and HD videos (720p at 30fps). The best thing about this Android powered device is that it features Android 2.1 which in the near future can be updated to Froyo. Also adding on to the advantages is the Samsung's own TouchWiz 3.0 user interface that brings along numerous usability enhancements.

Galaxy S has many pre-installed apps such as predictive text input, file manager, image and video editor and document editor (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF).
