Sana'a, Yemen - A group of South Korean tourists departed Sana'a on Monday to return to Seoul, including survivors of an apparent bomb attack that killed four of their fellow tourists and a Yemeni guide near a historical site in south-eastern Yemen on Sunday.
Nine women and three men departed on an Emirates flight at 10:00 am (0700 GMT) to Dubai, from where they will continue to Seoul.
Among the departing survivors were two wounded women dressed in hospital uniforms, one of them sitting in a wheelchair.
Sana'a, Yemen - A total of 16 al-Qaeda suspects appeared before a state security court judge in Sana'a Wednesday charged with carrying out a string of attacks including the killing of two Belgian tourists last year.
The 16 defendants - 11 Yemenis, four Syrians and a Yemeni with Saudi nationality - stood handcuffed behind bars dressed in blue prison uniforms.
Sana'a, Yemen - A Yemeni state security court on Monday adjourned the trial of three of Yemeni men charged with spying for Iran, the defendants' lawyer said.
"The court postponed the ruling session until March 23," Shadha Nasser told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa. She said the court, which had been expected to deliver a verdict, gave no reasons for the delay.
The defendants, aged between 31 and 57 years old, faced charges of "illegal contact with a foreign state, and the transmission of military information to it."
Sana'a, Yemen - A total of 16 suspected al-Qaeda terrorists will go on trial in Sana'a next week for a string of attacks including the killing of two Belgian tourists, a court source revealed Friday.
The 16 defendants comprise 11 Yemenis, four Syrians and a Saudi national of Yemeni origin, and will be charged with plotting attacks against foreigners, Western interests, vital state installations and oil facilities in Yemen.
Among the charges the group will face is the attack on Belgian tourists in the south-eastern province of Hadhramout in January 2008, the source, who asked anonymity, told Deutsche Presse Agentur dpa.

Nojoud Muhammad Nasser was scheduled to accept the honour in the world hope category in a ceremony in Vienna, along with fellow honorees such as Italian actress Monica Bellucci and US pop singers Anastacia and Kelly Clarkson.
Sana'a, Yemen - Yemen denounced the decision by the International Criminal Court (ICC) on Wednesday to issue an arrest warrant for Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir, describing it as a "dangerous precedent."
In a statement carried by the official Saba news agency, an official source said Yemen "staunchly condemns" the arrest order that "sets a dangerous precedent of a flagrant interference in countries' internal affairs."
