Washington, Apr 23 : British film director David Slade has been hired by Summit Entertainment to direct the third film of the Twilight Saga, `Eclipse'.
The announcement was made by Summit on April 22 after months of speculation over who would direct the movie, which has a release date of June 30, 2010, reports Variety.
Summit Entertainment has opted to have different directors directing the "Twilight" movies, with Chris Weitz replacing "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke on "New Moon".
Washington, April 23 : Madonna has slammed claims that she fell short of informing the police about the paparazzi''s involvement in her riding accident, saying she was "barely conscious" after the fall.
The Queen of Pop had been rushed to a hospital on New York's Long Island after she fell off a horse while riding in the Hamptons on April 18.
The singer was released hours later and her rep Liz Rosenberg issued a statement saying a paparazzo was responsible for startling the horse by taking surprise pictures.

The 18-year-old, who claims he saw his four-month-old son "a couple weeks ago", revealed he had teamed up with a lawyer hoping to force his ex-fiancée Bristol Palin to honor his visitation rights.
Johnston said that the family had blocked all communication and he found it an "an uncomfortable thing" to go over the Palin household to see his lad.
