Ranchi, Jan. 11 : The cloud of political uncertainty is clearing from Jharkhand with Shibu Soren who had lost the assembly by elections, offered to resign paving the way for Champai Soren, another stalwart of the regional Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM).
Shibu Soren, who took over reigns of Jharkhand in August last year and, under a constitutional obligation, was required to win an assembly poll within six months to remain the Chief Minister of the state, lost the Tamar assembly election to his main opponent, Raja Peter who was a nominee of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
Raja Peter of the regional Jharkhand Party (an ally of NDA) defeated Soren by the margin of 9,062 votes.
