New York, Apr 5 : A nanny has filed a lawsuit against Robert De Niro and his wife for not paying her more than 40,000 dollars in back pay after she worked overtime caring for their son.

In papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, Alexis Barry has said that she went to work for the `Meet the Parents' star and Grace Hightower in 2006.

The couple hired for a payment of 31.25 dollars an hour to care for their son Elliott, now 11, reports The New York Post.

She said that the celebrity couple also promised her to give 46.88 dollars for overtime.

New York, Apr 5 : Beatles drummer Ringo Starr has revealed that he did not like being in India much during 1968.

Starr, 68, and the other Beatles members had at the time been followers of the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

"There were lepers without fingers and noses," the New York Post quoted the drummer as saying at a press conference promoting Radio City concert to benefit meditation training for kids.

Starr said he left the ashram after 10 days because "the food was too spicy".

New York, April 4 : Former Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin''s family is once again in the news for non-political reasons, for her sister-in-law Diana was arrested on Thursday for allegedly burgling a house.

According to reports, Diana Palin even brought her 4-year-old daughter along for the heists.

Alaskan newspaper the Anchorage Daily News says that Diana was caught by the homeowner, Theodore Turcott, who was hiding in his bathroom with a gun.

The eateries in Brooklyn and Manhattan plastered the new President''s last name on their awnings recently.

"Why name it that? Just because Obama is black, they''re going to put his name on a fried chicken place in a black neighborhood?" the New York Daily News quoted 16-year-old Akilah Nassy, as saying outside the Brooklyn store.
