Malay Indians welcome Deputy PM's assurance government help

Kuala Terengganu (Malaysia), Feb. 6: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib RazakMalay Indians have welcomed eputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s assurance of government help for Indians.

Businessman Balbir Singh, 62, said Razak's reaching out to the Malay Indian community is laudable, but this must be translated into action.

He hoped this would translate into a temple for the Sikh community, who have had to travel to Kota Baru or Kuantan for prayers.

Najib had said the government would look into the grievances of Indians as fast as possible.
