Petaling Jaya (Malaysia), Apr. 6: The wife of recently released HINDRAF lawyer R. Kengadharan has said that their house has become a home again after his return from a detention center.

Kengadharan was overwhelmed with emotion as he tightly hugged his wife Dr M. Kalaivani and their three-year-old son Pavan after spending 16 months at the Kamunting Detention Centre under the Internal Security Act, reports The Star.

Kengadharan, 41, arrived at his condominium in Kelana Jaya at 6 p. m. yesterday accompanied by Special Branch officers.

Kuala Lumpur - The Malaysian government on Sunday released 13 people who had been held under a draconian security law, some for suspected involvement in terror networks and others for allegedly posing a threat to national security.

The 13 men had been held under the Internal Security Act, which was set up more than 50 years ago by Malaysia's former British rulers to fight a communist insurgency.

Of the 13, three foreigners - Myanmar nationals Amir Hussain and San Khaing, and Indian national Sundaraj Vijay - were the first to be released.

Sepang, Malaysia - BMW-Sauber on Saturday joined three other Formula One teams in an official protest against the diffusers used by Brawn GP, Toyota and Williams.

BMW handed over the relevant documents to officials from the ruling body FIA after the day's qualifying session for the Malaysian Grand Prix.

"This is merely a formal act," said BMW motorsport chief Mario Theissen as BMW joined the appeals of Ferrari, Red Bull and Renault.

Sepang, Malaysia - Nico Rosberg was a familiar leader in the final practice session on Saturday for the Malaysian Formula One Grand Prix.

The German Rosberg clocked 1 minute 35.940 seconds for the 5.543-kilometres lap in Sepang in a Williams. He led from Australian Red Bull driver Mark Webber (1:36.048) and Brazilian Felipe Massa in a Ferrari (1:36.089).

Rosberg has topped five of the six practice sessions this season, all three last week in Australia and two of the three in Sepang. Finnish Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen was first the second Malaysian session on Friday.
