Lahore, Dec 19 : Former Pakistan cricket captains have flayed India's decision to cancel next month's tour to Pakistan in wake of the Mumbai terror attacks in which at least 179 people were killed.

Former captain and Tehreek-I-Insaaf chief Imran Khan has said that this decision of India will not help build up trust between the two countries and it is a wrong decision by the Indians.

Imran said India should have applied the same criteria as they did when they asked England to return to their country after last month's militant attacks in Mumbai.

Lahore, Dec 18: Pakistani authorities have unearthed a plot to kill former President Pervez Musharraf, and have claimed busting a clandestine terror network set up by jailed killer of Daniel Pearl inside the Hyderabad Jail.

The Sindh Government has suspended senior police and jail officials after a large number of cell phones, SIMs and other equipment were recovered, The News reported.

Lahore, Dec. 17 : The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has detained several people for being involved in a racket to transfer billions of rupees from Karachi to the North West Frontier Province.

After arresting the directors of Khanani and Kalia International (KKI) last month, the FIA on Tuesday detained another market leader Mehboob Moti, Director of the Al-Sahara Exchange Company, in Karachi.

This was not the first time that Mehboob Moti was summoned by the FIA authorities as earlier he had been asked to appear on a few occasions in connection with an enquiry pending with the FIA.

Lahore, Dec. 17 : The Central Board of Film Censors (CBFC) in Pakistan has told the Lahore High Court (LHC) that its rules were changed to allow the import of Indian films into the country.

Replying to two petitions that challenged the exhibition of Indian films in the country, the secretary of the CBFC submitted that certain films containing Indian artists/crew were imported from countries other than India and allowed for exhibition in the country in accordance with the law.

The Daily Times quoted him as saying that earlier under Rule 10(2)(b)(iii) of the Censorship of Film Rules 1980, any foreign film irrespective of its country of import, containing Indian/Pakistani artistes was not allowed for exhibition.

Lahore, Dec 17 : Pakistani Taliban have issued a video of five slain people, accused of spying on key al Qaeda leader Abu Laith Al-Libi.

Al-Libi, a senior Al Qaeda leader, was killed in a United States missile strike in North Waziristan Agency on January 29.

The slain people said in their `confession statements' they had `provided secret information' and helped in attacks at the behest of Pakistani officials, BBC reported.

Lahore, Dec. 17 : The Saudi Arabian Government last week launched a huge counter-terrorism operation to neutralize al Qaeda from carrying out a terror strike on Muslim pilgrims taking part in the Haj.

According to US and Saudi intelligence agencies, Al Qaeda planned to launch a bloody assault.

The Daily Times quoted a report in the Middle East Times as saying that over three million Muslims flocked to Mecca this year for the Haj that began on December 6.
