Jaipur, Oct 13 : Emiko Yamada, 74-year-old Japanese grandmother, on Monday filed papers for the migration of surrogate baby Manjhi in Jaipur.

''Manjhi'', born of an Indian surrogate mother, was caught in a legal tussle as the country’s laws prohibit the child''s divorced father from taking her custody, because soon after her conception, her parents got separated.

Jaipur, Oct. 13 : A voluntary organisation in Rajasthan has prepared a special ambulance to facilitate carrying camels seeking medical attention to nearby veterinary hospital.

This is perhaps for the first time that such arrangements have been done in Rajasthan help to shift the ship of the desert ‘Camel’ to hospitals when required.

The facility has been provided due to the efforts of Help In Suffering (HIS), the Jaipur-based voluntary organisation.

Ahmedabad, Oct 10 : The two Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) members accused in the Jaipur blasts have been brought to Ahmedabad for interrogation in connection with the July 26 serial bomb blasts that rocked the city.

On Friday, Joint Commissioner of Police, Ashish Bhatia, heading the probe team, said "We have brought two SIMI members from Jaipur for interrogation in the serial blasts case. The two accused were present at the terror training camp in Halol near Vadodara."

Jaipur, Oct 1: The Rajasthan Government has ordered a judicial probe into the Chamunda Devi Temple stampede in Jodhpur in which 147 were killed and over 100 were injured.

According to official sources, a retired judge of Rajasthan High Court will conduct investigation and will submit his report in three months.

It being the first Navratra, thousands of devotees had gathered early morning yesterday, at the temple situated on a hill top when the tragedy took place. Some of the devotees slipped on a slope causing the stampede.

Jaipur, Sep. 21 : Jaipur’s world famous Jantar Mantar, which is a collection of architectural astronomical instruments and literally means calculation instrument, is attracting wide public attention here following the ongoing renovation at the ancient astronomical observatory. The renovation work has not gone down well with traditional Indian astrologers.

Absence of knowledgeable and experienced astrologers in the supervisory or advisory committee is being cited as one of the reasons, which has led to the vintage historical gadgets and other aids getting disturbed in the renovation process.
