Hyderabad, Feb 21 : The income tax officials have started interrogating former Satyam founder Ramalinga Raju at the Chanchalguda jail here in connection with the 7,800 crore accounting fraud.
The four-member I-T team is likely to grill Raju on several issues, including whether the money had been siphoned off or he had inflated the income.
The 6th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of a Hyderabad court on February 18 had allowed the I-T department to question Raju.
Hyderabad, Feb 21 : The Satyam Computers Services board began it''s meeting here today to figure out the process of finding a strategic partner for the scam hit IT company.
The board will discuss the Company Law Board''s recent approval on inducting a strategic partner and consider the way of finding a suitable one for itself.
Various suitors, including Larsen and Toubro, the Spice Group and the Hinduja Group have expressed an interest in acquiring a stake in the 7800 crore fraud-hit Satyam.
New Delhi/ Hyderabad, Feb 19: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has said it would form a multi-disciplinary investigation team to probe the accounting fraud at IT major Satyam Computer Services Ltd.
The CBI, which has taken over the probe, said a consultative mechanism was being worked out with all departments concerned.

The sixth Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate dismissed the bail petitions.
A case has been filed against Raju under Sections 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 406 (criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating), 468 (forgery for cheating) and 477-a (fraudulent cancellation of securities) of IPC.

Earlier, the SEBI had interrogated Ramalinga Raju, former chief of embattled Satyam Computer Services Limited, and his brother, Rama Raju.
Hyderabad, Feb 15 : Home Minister P. Chidambaram has said that the next financial year would be tough for the Indian economy, but a turnaround should come in October.
"The first two quarter will indeed be difficult. The turnaround should come some time in October 2009, or little thereafter," he said at a meeting after inaugurating a branch of the Union Bank of India in Hyderabad on Saturday.
