Panaji, Oct 26: The Goa government on Sunday said that it has no plans of handing over of the alleged rape case of a German minor to the Central Bureau of Investigation.

New Delhi  - The son of an Indian politician was Tuesday charged with raping a 14-year-old German girl in the country's south-western state of Goa, news reports said.

Rohit Monserrate, 21, son of Goa education minister Atanasio Monserrate, was also booked by the state police under various provisions of the Indian penal code relating to obscenity, the CNN-IBN news channel reported.

A police team had reached the minister's bungalow to arrest the accused, the report said, adding the case had caused a furore in the state.

Panaji (Goa), Oct. 14 : A case has been registered against Rohit Monseratte, the eldest son of Atanasio Monseratte, Goa''s Education Minister, following a German woman''scomplaint that the former has been sexually and mentally harassing her minor daughter.

Police sources said 21-year-old Rohit has been charged with offences including rape, abetement to crime and outraging the modesty of a minor girl.

A German woman had lodged her complaint on October 2.
