Al-Arabiya channel's website changes domain after being hacked Dubai - Dubai-based Al-Arabiya news channel was forced to change it's domain to www. alarabiya. tv on Friday after its main page was hacked.

Hackers accusing the Saudi-owned TV of being pro-Sunni shut down the channel's news website in a cyber attack, claiming to be in retaliation for the recent attacks on Shiite websites.

A warning message saying: "if attacks on Shiite websites continue, none of your websites will be safe," was displayed on the front page of the site.

Limitless Withdraws Offer; Results In Fall In The Shares Of Minerva

Limitless recently issued a statement to the stock exchange, in which it had said that it was unsuccessful in obtaining the necessary consents on terms satisfactory to Limitless from a third party and thus it does not intend to make an offer anymore. 

During the month of July, an announcement related to 160-a-share approach for Minerva was made, and during the annual results last week, Minerva said that discussions with Limitless were proceeding and also that it understood due diligence was “substantially complete”. But the company warned, “There can be no certainty of an offer forthcoming.”

Dubai-based companies accused of violating US sanctions on Iran

Dubai - Five Dubai-based companies are among 16 firms and individuals accused by the United States of exporting items to Iran that could be used to make weapons and explosives, a news report said Saturday.

The traders are alleged to have purchased US-made "dual use" goods and transported them to Iran via the United Arab Emirates, Britain, Malaysia, Germany and Singapore, the Abu Dhabi-based The National newspaper said.

While Iran is subject to UN sanctions related primarily to material used in the manufacture of weapons of mass destruction, it is also covered by unilateral US sanctions, which prohibit the sale of most goods of US origin to the Islamic republic.
