Palestinians arrest members of terrorist ring after clash Beirut - Military police with the Palestine Liberation Organization in Lebanon arrested two terrorist suspects in the northern Lebanese refugee camp of Beddawi following a clash inside the chantytown, Palestinian sources said Friday.

According to the sources the two suspects were arrested after a major clash and were identified as Nader al-Ali and Khaled Jaber, who are accused of being members of a terrorist ring headed by wanted Lebanese citizen Abdul Ghani Jawhar.

Lebanese judge issues terrorism arrest warrants

SyriaBeirut  - Lebanese military court investigator Judge Rachid Mezher issued on Friday eight arrest warrants for suspects involved in an explosion that killed five people in the Lebanese city of Tripoli in September.

The explosion on September 29 targeted a military bus carrying at least 20 soldiers, leaving at least five dead and 21 injured.

The explosion was part of a chain of sporadic bombings, mainly targeting the army.

Hezbollah accuses UN representative of supporting Israel Beirut - Lebabon's Shiite House speaker Nabih Berri, who is also close to the radical Shiite Hezbollah, hailed Thursday the election of Barack Obama as the next US president, urging him to push forward Middle East peace process.

"The new president should start by resolving the Middle East crisis," Berri was quoted as saying in a statement.

Second round of Lebanon's national dialogue adjourned

Hezbollah Beirut  - The second round of Lebanon's national dialogue aimed at ending differences between rival political factions and discussing the fate of Hezbollah arms was adjourned Wednesday after one of the participants fell ill.

"MP Ghassan Tueini, from the ruling majority and also owner of the daily An Nahar newspaper fell ill during the session and was transferred to the hospital," an official taking part in the talks told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa.
