Yeddyurappa to seek trust vote today

Bangalore, June 6 : Karnataka Chief Minister B. S. Yeddyurappa will seek a trust vote in the Assembly here today.

Yeddyurappa will seek the trust vote in compliance with a directive by Governor Thakur to prove majority on the floor of the House.

The direction came in the wake of BJP, which stormed to power in the state, failing to garner simple majority of 113 and cobbling up the required numbers with the help of six independents.

Portfolios will be allocated to all the 29 Ministers of the newly sworn-in BJP Government today, after the Yeddyurappa led Ministry passes the floor test.

It has been reported that there is a demand for major portfolios like Home, Public Works, Energy, Urban Development, Irrigation and Mines.
