Melbourne, Mar. 3 : Cricket Australia (CA) has expressed shock over the Lahore terror attack on the Sri Lankan cricket players in which six Lankan players were wounded.

Condemning the ghastly act, Cricket Australia CEO, James Sutherland said that CA was shocked to hear the news of the attack, and strongly condemns the incident.

"Australian cricket has many friends in Sri Lanka and in Pakistan and we sincerely hope they are all safe after this awful incident,'''' The Courier Mail quoted Sutherland, as saying.

Sydney, Mar 3: Fewer than half of Australia’s elite cricketers believe representing their country will be the ultimate professional accolade in 10 years.

The Australian Cricketers’ Association has revealed the uncertainty in an annual survey of state and national representatives, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

Sydney - More than 34,000 applicants learned Tuesday they hadn't made the shortlist of 50 candidates for the dream job of highly paid caretaker on a paradise island in Australia's Great Barrier Reef.

The unlucky 34,634 are left clinging to the hope of being the sole wildcard entry when the final 11 contestants are selected and flown to Queensland's Hamilton Island in early May.

The Top 50 are from Britain, the United States, Japan, Canada, Germany, Greece, India, China and 14 other countries.

The six Australians selected are Chris Bray from Sydney, New South Wales, James Hill from Shute Harbour, Queensland, Sheree Marris Elwood from Victoria, Hailey Turner from Brisbane and David Whitehill from the Gold Coast.

In the quest to land the dream job, one of the applicants David Whitehall even pulled down his pants to reveal g-string bathers and the words “Aussie bum” emblazoned on his bottom while walking to the water saying “You’d be out of your mind not to give this job to an Aussie bum”.
