After all, few of the other 30,000 people who lodged 60-second video applications have hands-on experience cleaning filters, and not many of them live in Australia and could relocate to Queensland's Hamilton Island so cheaply.

The job description asked for someone to look after the pool, collect the mail and keep a blog on lazy days snorkelling and feeding fish. The lucky appointee gets a six-figure pay packet and rent-free luxury accommodation for six months.

Wellington - New Zealand amateur Danny Lee elbowed the professionals aside Sunday to win the Johnnie Walker Classic in the west coast Australian city of Perth.

Lee, 18, claimed victory by one stroke in an event co-sanctioned by the European, Asian and Australasian tours.

Lee is the reigning United States amateur champion, and with his win in Perth became the youngest player to win on the European tour and only the second amateur to do so.

Sydney, Feb 22 : Celebrity agent Max Markson is planning to bring former US president George Bush to Australia and charge 1000-dollar-a head to hear him talk.

"I was on a cruise in the Caribbean the day after President [Barack] Obama was sworn in and I received an email asking if I could arrange for president Bush to come out," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Markson, as saying.

Markson had previously organised speaking trips for Bush''s father and Bill Clinton after their terms as US president.
