RCom Launches GSM Services In UP & Uttarakhand
To strengthen its GSM reach, Reliance Communications (RCom) has rolled out its post paid GSM services in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
While making the announcement, Mr. Salim Haq, RCom Regional Head UP and Uttarakhand, stated that the post paid customers in both the states would be offered three plans.
Under the first plan that costs Rs 129 monthly, subscribers can make all local and STD calls at the rate of Rs 1 per minute.
The second plan, which costs Rs 199 on a monthly basis, let subscribers to make all local calls @ Rs 0.50 per minute. Moreover, the subscribers would get a usage discount worth Rs 150.
The third plan, which is specifically for heavy users, carries a monthly rental of Rs 375. The plan would entitle the subscriber to get a complete usage discount of Rs 375 and local calls with this plan cost 50 paise per minute while STD would be charged at Re 1 per minute.
RCom received its nationwide GSM license during December 2007.
The soft launch of its services was in September 2008. Full-fledged GSM services from RCom were introduced in January 2009.
