Ramalinga Raju meeting visitors at NIMS
The main accused in the scam in Satyam Computer Services, B Ramalinga Raju is receiving a slew of visitors at Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS). Raju has been admitted at NIMS since December last year as he asked for a Hepatitis C-related ailment.
CBI told a special court since he is meeting visitors it is a clear indication that Raju is fit enough to be presented in front of the court. The incarcerated founder of Satyam (now Mahindra Satyam) was allowed to meet people other than his wife and his children at NIMS.
The court has ordered the medical institution to bring out a detailed medical report on the health situation of Ramalinga Raju. NIMS believe that there will be a significant improvement in his health situation in the next three to four weeks.
Notably, it was last year that Raju surrendered in the multi-crore accounting scam of inflating the books of accounts. His company was later taken over by M&M's IT arm Tech Mahindra which made the latter a de-facto #4 in the Indian IT industry.
