New Delhi: According to a Rashtrapati Bhawan release that President Pratibha Patil will speak to the nation on Independence Day that will be broadcast in Hindi followed by English from 19:00 hours.

At the same time, it will also be broadcast over all channels of All India Radio.

AIR will transmit the regional language editions of the lecture over their regional channels from 21:30 hours.

This will be Pratibha's first Independence Day eve lecture after she assumed office last month.
