Anantnag, Apr 27: Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi, who addressed a joint rally with Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today, said that he wanted to bring in a politics of development, love and friendship.
“The country can move forward only with people from all religions, region and caste moving together,” Rahul Gandhi said at a joint election rally here.
Gandhi further asked people of the Kashmir valley to vote for the NC.

"I don't appreciate terminology that you stand on a pile of rubbish. That''''s not a nice word, but Bofors allegations against my family are a complete lie" Gandhi told reporters here.
When asked if he would apologies for the Bofors kickbacks rows, Gandhi said there was nothing to apologies for.
New Delhi, Apr. 25: The Election Commission of India on Saturday issued a notice to senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh for violating the Model Code of Conduct.
The commission's notice said that Singh would need to explain his adverse comments against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati.

Lucknow, Apr 25 : Uttar Pradesh Congress unit chief Rita Bahuguna Joshi on Saturday slammed state Chief Minister Mayawati for not utilizing Central Government funds allotted for the development of the state properly.
“Mayawati-led Uttar Pradesh Government has misused the money allotted by the Central Government for the development of the State. The millions of rupees handed over to the state under the Jawaharlal Nehru City Development scheme were used to build statues. If Mayawati comes to power, she will turn around the look of the city,” Joshi said during a roadshow here.
