Washington, Jan 30 : Pop star Taylor Swift is collaborating with L. E. I to create a 14-dollar dress line.

Swift's collection will appear in Wal-Mart beginning this February.

And the singer insists that she doesn't wish to be referred as a designer, rather she feels the clothes are inspired by her own style.

"I don''t look at it like I''m branching out as a designer," Usmagazine. com quoted Taylor, as telling New York magazine.

New York, December 27 : Teen singer Taylor Swift's latest album `Fearless' has topped music sales in the week leading up to Christmas.

The young country pop musician's second album was released on November 11, 2008 and its lead-off single "Love Story" has become her highest Hot 100 hit.

Her album has sold 330,000 copies putting her in the No. 1 spot for a third non-consecutive week on the Billboard charts, reports the New York Daily News.

According to Nielsen Soundscan, despite the staggering number, the overall music sales had still dipped to a 33 percent decrease as compared to last year, reports Variety.

Washington, Nov 25 : American country pop singer Taylor Swift threw a surprise 16th birthday party for Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus at the American Music Awards.

Swift, who is Cyrus''s BFF, arranged the birthday bash backstage, complete with balloons and a cake.

“Us girls (including Julianne Hough, Jordin Sparks and Ashley Tisdale) got together and thought it would be fun to do a little surprise party for Miley, she deserves it,” Fox News quoted Swift as saying.

And for her birthday party, Cyrus got really cool gifts, especially from her parents.

Taylor Swift's second album Fearless (Big Machine) sold 592,000 copies week-ending Sunday, making it the best selling country album since Eagles Long Road Out Of Eden sold 711,00 in its debut week, last year. Not only that, it is the largest sales opening for a female artist in any genre in 2008, just behind Lil Wayne, AC/DC and Coldplay, in fourth place. As well, Fearless also makes the biggest country digital album debut by selling 129,000 copies digitally.

The best sales week for a country album has 18-year-old Taylor Swift debut at No. 1 on the U. S. pop album chart.

Washington, November 19 : Taylor Swift has revealed that she was often the favourite target of high school bullies.

The country music singer, who made her debut with her hit single ‘Tim McGraw’, said that she was often separated from the regular lot by girls who dubbed her ‘weird’.

"A lot of girls thought I was weird. Actually, the word they liked to use was annoying,” Us magazine quoted her as saying in the December issue of Women''s Health.

“I''d sit at their lunch table and they''d move to a different one,” she added.

Washington, November 15 : Teen country singer Taylor Swift has revealed that she might go back to her books after she has had her fill of having fun trotting the globe and creating music.

The 18-year-old, whose all five singles from her debut were Top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, said that she craved for knowledge though she has already been in the process of acquiring some through her music career.
