Islamabad : Foreign Secretaries Salman Bashir (Pakistan) and Shiv Shankar Menon (India) and their respective delegations today discussed the recent cease-fire violations along the Line of Control (LoC), and reiterated that both countries respected the sanctity of the cease-fire reached on November 25, 2003.

New Delhi, May 14 : The Foreign Secretary Shiv Shankar Menon today said that the fourth round of India’s composite dialogue with Pakistan would focus on maintaining peace and security and added that the issue of terrorism would be high on the agenda.

He said the Foreign Secretary-level and Foreign Ministerial talks will also include six other topics.

Kathmandu, Apr 30 : Foreign Affairs Secretary Shiv Shankar Menon on Wednesday said that India was willing to review the 1950 Indo-Nepal peace and friendship treaty under the present circumstances.

According to Kantipur, Menon said that the Indian government was ready to amend the 1950 treaty as per the present context so as to develop a new and high-level relationship between the two countries.

New Delhi, Feb 28 : Foreign Secretary Shiv Shankar Menon on Thursday said that India is aware of the much-touted Indo-US civil nuclear deal’s timetable.

"I don't think we're looking at deadlines. We know the timetable and we know what we're trying to do,” Menon said after the 6th Indo-US High Technology Cooperation Group meeting.

“India must reach an agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to place its civilian nuclear reactors under U. N. safeguards, and get clearance from the
