Washington, Feb 16 : Actor Ryan Phillippe has slammed reports that he split up from his ex-wife Reese Witherspoon because he was jealous of her blossoming Hollywood career.

The couple parted ways in 2006, soon after Witherspoon won her first Oscar, while Phillippe just got some critical acclaim for films like `Crash' and `Stop-Loss'.

Recently, rumours were rife that the pair drifted apart because the actor couldn''t handle his wife''s success.

However, the actor has insisted that he was proud of her, and was never jealous of her success.

Melbourne, Dec 23 : Hollywood actor Ryan Phillippe and Hollywood actress Abbie Cornish, who have been an item since a year, have reportedly dropped their plan of celebrating Christmas in the Hunter Valley.

Cornish and Phillippe had allegedly zeroed upon Hunter Valley, the place where Cornish's family lives, to celebrate Christmas, but the constant media glare has made them head back to L. A.

The couple, which was constantly hounded by paparazzi in Australia, was dazed to see the extent of media attention they were receiving in the country.

"They were being trailed every moment when they were in Sydney," the Daily Telegraph quoted a source, as saying.

Melbourne, Dec 6 : American actor Ryan Phillippe will be heading for Australia next weekend, to meet actress Abbie Cornish''s side of the family.

This will be the first Australian trip for the two, who had stepped out together in June at a Hollywood awards ceremony, reports the Courier Mail.

Cornish will be introducing Phillippe to her parents, besides attending an exclusive party in Sydney for fashion brand Calvin Klein, which she is brand ambassador of, on December 16 on Cockatoo Island.

On their visit, the couple will travel to the Hunter Valley and stay with Cornish''s family on their 69ha farm at Lochinvar, where they intend to stay and celebrate Christmas.
