New Delhi, April 26 : German model and Bollywood actress Evelyn Sharma, who has been working hard to learn Hindi, was surprised upon receiving compliments for her Hindi diction by actor Ranbir Kapoor.
"Hindi can be quite difficult to master, and I have been working extremely hard to understand the nuances of the language. It feels nice to be acknowledged and noticed for something you are consciously working towards and it feels better coming from my early co-stars," Evelyn said in a statement.

The survey was conducted by matrimonial site Shaadi. com with over 7,000 men and women in the age bracket of 24-30 years taking part. This was part of the India's Most Wanted Celebrity survey.

Mumbai, Oct 24 : Bollywood celebrities Ranbir Kapoor and singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya remember legendary playback singer Manna Dey as "a huge pillar of the film industry" and an "imperceptible power of voice".
Manna Dey died Thursday after a prolonged illness at a private hospital in Bangalore. He had been ailing for four months. He was 94
"Manna Dey has been a huge pillar of the film industry. His contribution to Indian cinema has been immense," Ranbir said in an interview.

In their new ad Philips revive the iconic song "Saara zamana haseeno ka Deewana", originally picturised on Amitabh Bachchan who sported an electric lightbulb suit in it. It now features Ranbir in a suit of LED lights.
New Delhi, Oct 3 : The critics panned Abhinav Singh Kashyap's "Besharam" as illogical and a movie that "lacks merit". However, the bad reviews notwithstanding, the film minted Rs. 21.56 crore on the opening day.
Co-produced by Himanshu Mehra, Sanjeev Gupta and Reliance Entertainment, the film was made at a budget of Rs. 60 crore plus the cost of promotions, marketing and advertising.
The film hit 3,600 screens in India and 700 screens overseas when it released Wednesday on Gandhi Jayanti.
Kolkata, Oct 1 : Happy to experiment with his roles, actor Ranbir Kapoor Tuesday said he could never be in the same league as the three superstar Khans of the industry - Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir - as they are the "true superstars".

Mumbai, July 30 : Ranbir Kapoor's "Besharam" trailer was launched here Tuesday, but the film's lead actor was not present at the event. Director Abhinav Kashyap said that it was not pre-planned, so the actor could not make it.
"This was not a pre-planned launch. Ranbir is in Sri Lanka and that is why he is not here," Kashyap told reporters at the launch.
"We are roughly two months before the release of the film. This was a part of the promotion cycle. We begin our promotion campaign from tomorrow," he said.
New Delhi, July 30 : Actor Ranbir Kapoor, who shares screen space with his parents Neetu and Rishi Kapoor in "Besharam", is said to be excited to get the audience reaction of the trailer, which will be launched Tuesday.
Ranbir, currently in Sri Lanka, is constantly in touch with Abhinav Singh Kashyap, the film's director, to get a feedback.
"Ranbir has been staying in touch with Kashyap. He has been calling him in every 30 minutes to know about the audience response," a source told IANS.

Macau, July 7 - Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who won the Star Plus audience jodi of the year award for "Yeh Jawaani hai Deewani" at the 14th IIFA awards here, said that she missed her co-star Ranbir Kapoor who was not present at the awards.
"I miss Ranbir today. Thank you so much, Ayan, for making me look so wonderful in the film. I miss you and I love you," she said on receiving the awards.
"Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" has been directed by Ayan Mukerji and stars Deepika, Ranbir, Kalki Koechlin and Aditya Roy Kapur. The film clicked at the box office. (IANS)
Macau, July 5 : Bollywood director Anurag Basu, who teams up with Ranbir Kapoor for "Jagga Jasoos" again after "Barfi!", will also be co-producing the film with the star and said their "business partnership" will bring "new dynamics" to their equation.
"The status is that the script is ready. There will be new dynamics this time as Ranbir and I will be partnering in business - we both are producing it. Everyone wants to work with him... so he will have to finish those two films and come to me," Basu told IANS.
Mumbai, June 18 : Ranbir Kapoor, who is on cloud nine after the success of "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani", is leaving no stone unturned to give his best in "Besharam". The Bollywood heartthrob is polishing his Punjabi diction for the comedy.
"They are shooting a lot in Chandigarh, so Ranbir has been learning the language. It is crucial for his character, so a tutor has been hired. He's been practising to speak like the locals there - in terms of usage of words and their pronunciations," said a source.
