Mumbai, May 18 : Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor admits people find it weird that he feels comfortable to work on screen with his former girlfriend Deepika Padukone. But he says it comes naturally to him, and it is absolutely normal.
Having worked together in the forthcoming "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani", Ranbir says it wasn't a new beginning for them, but a continuation of their friendship.

New Delhi, May 17 : "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" stars Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are ready to take the small screen route to promote their forthcoming romantic film. They will shoot together with the cast of the serial "Pyaar Ka Dard Hai".
The duo will shoot with the cast in Mumbai Monday.
"They are doing this for the promotion of their movie. They will be coming to celebrate Pankhuri's (lead female character's) birthday," said a source.
The special episode, featuring the Bollywood stars, will air May 27.

Mumbai, May 15 : Actress Parineeti Chopra says if she has an option to flirt with someone in Bollywood, it would be the current heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor.
Mesmerised by the young Kapoor scion, the actress calls him "one of her favourite actors of the current generation".
And why not? After his unimpressive debut with "Saawariya" in 2007, Ranbir climbed up the success ladder with his performances in "Rocket Singh - Salesman Of The Year", "Wake Up Sid", "Raajneeti", "Rockstar" and "Barfi!" and has become an actor to reckon with.

Mumbai, May 13 : Actor Ranbir Kapoor, who will be sharing the screen space with father Rishi Kapoor and mother Neetu Singh in Abhinav Kashyap's "Besharam", says it was a learning experience.
"It was a great experience working with mom and dad. It was for the first time we shot together. It is always fun to work with family. My father bullies the director and it's fun to watch him. It's a learning experience," said the 30-year-old during an event here.
Ranbir, who was appreciated for his role in "Rockstar" and "Barfi!" recently, says there is miles to go.

Mumbai, May 10 : Producer Bhushan Kumar has roped in Ranbir Kapoor and Sri Lankan actress Jacqueline Fernandez as a fresh on-screen pair for his next, which will have elements of romance and thriller.
"I have roped in fresh pair Ranbir and Jacqueline for my next film. It's a two-hero film. We are yet to finalise the other actor," Kumar told IANS.
"For the first time, Jacqueline will be seen playing a double-role. It's a very interesting concept, which is a love story with a thriller element," he added.
Jacqueline was seen in "Race" and "Murder 2".

Mumbai, May 8 : Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra starrer "Barfi!" is all set to get a commercial release in Turkey. Said to be the first Indian movie to get a mainstream release in the country, it will hit close to 40 screens May 10.

Mumbai, April 20 : Filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee says his short film in "Bombay Talkies" couldn't have happened without actor Ranbir Kapoor, who he says appears in every frame of the movie.
Banerjee has directed one of the four short films in "Bombay Talkies'.
Talking about it, Banerjee told IANS: "He (Ranbir) is totally associated. He is a shadow of god associated with the film. He is there in every frame. He is there as the ultimate hero against this average common man. Without Ranbir this could not have happened."

Mumbai, April 19 : Actor Arshad Warsi feels Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif would be ideal to play Lord Ram and his wife Sita in a film on epic "Ramayana".
"I feel right now there is no other better actor than Ranbir Kapoor. He is brilliant and I think he will play Lord Ram's role better," the 45-year-old said here Thursday at the screening of 3D animation film "The Croods".
Among actresses, he feels "somewhere down the line, Katrina fits and Deepika (Padukone) is too exciting".
Adventures of 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' unit

New Delhi, April 16 : If one goes by its trailers, it looks like the entire unit of "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" had loads of fun. But the experience of shooting it in Shimla was quite an adventure, says director Ayan Mukherji.
Parts of the Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone-starrer were shot in Himachal Pradesh as well as in Kashmir, and the weather conditions at the time of the shoot in January weren't great. However, the cast and crew had to deal with the situation, said sources.
There were especially food hassles.

New Delhi, April 11 : Deepika Padukone, who teamed up with ex-beau Ranbir Kapoor after five years in forthcoming film "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" (YJHD), says they are not into a relationship any more but are friends for life.
"Ranbir and I were in a relationship. But we are friends now and will be for life. We know each other well and we had a lovely time shooting (the film)," Deepika said in a statement.

New Delhi, April 9 : Actor Ranbir Kapoor's high-on-energy moves in new song "Badtameez dil" from his forthcoming movie "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" are being compared to his late grand-uncle Shammi Kapoor's famous dancing style.
Shammi Kapoor's typical moves from "Aaja aaja" from the 1966 movie "Teesri Manzil" and "Baar baar dekho" from the 1962 release "China Town" seem to have inspired Ranbir's overall steps and expressions in the peppy "Badtameez dil" number.

Mumbai, April 8 : Ranbir Kapoor knows how to get his fans grooving! The video of peppy song 'Badtameez dil' from "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewaani" is getting a good response online.
The song's video went online on the evening of April 5, and it has since then received over 900,000 hits.
The catchy phrase, "Badtameez dil" is working well, and Ranbir's fun and flexible dancing is an added advantage for it.

Vancouver, April 6 : Ranbir Kapoor wants to play the baddie, but the star of movies like "Rockstar" and "Barfi!" says no director is ready to accept him in such a role.
"I would love to play a negative role, something that is like an anti-hero. Something without guitars, rose and without a heroine. I have been asking this for quite a long time, and I hope the directors are hearing me out and come out with scripts like that," the 30-year-old told IANS.
He spoke on the sidelines of the first edition of the Times Of India Film Awards (TOIFA) here. He will host the awards night Saturday.

One of the most stylish stars and a Bollywood heartthrob, the 30-year-old will be seen as a simple working class man who wears dull clothes, large spectacles, braces, and a 1990s style chevron moustache in the upcoming funny commercial for Pepsi IPL (Indian Premier League).
The new commercial will go live April 3.

Mumbai, March 20 : Ranbir Kapoor came to the rescue of his "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" co-star and former lady love Deepika Padukone when a rather awkward question was posed to her regarding her "RK" tattoo.
During the duo's earlier 2008 release "Bachna Ae Haseeno", Deepika had got "RK" inked on the nape of her neck. At that time, she was dating Ranbir.
Ranbir became upset when a reporter here asked Deepika if she would be ready to sport another tattoo for the promotion of "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani".

Ranbir stalls shoot for injured make-up man

New Delhi, March 14 : Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor, who usually grabs headlines either for his films, link-ups or brand endorsements, recently showcased his caring side when his make-up man got injured.
While shooting for Karan Johar's upcoming film "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" in Manali, Ranbir's make-up man Hemant Naik got injured.
"While shooting in Manali on a windy day, the reflector fell. Incidentally, Ranbir's make-up man was standing right there to take the blow. He started bleeding immediately," said a source.
