Melbourne, Jan. 27 : Defending champion Novak Djokovic has quit the Australian Open, retiring from his quarter-final against Andy Roddick on Tuesday.
Djokovic, the No. 3-seed, from Serbia, was trailing the No. 7 seed, from the United States, 6-7 (5-7) 6-4 6-2 2-1 when he quit the match, after two-and-a-half hours, apparently suffering from heat stress.
Melbourne, Jan 24 : Police in Melbourne are reviewing the security footage of a mass brawl between Serbian and Bosnian supporters at the Australian Open.
Three young men will be charged on summons in relation to the fight on Friday afternoon, and another man has been issued with an on-the-spot fine, a police spokeswoman said.
Up to 30 people were ejected from Melbourne Park after the fight in which chairs were hurled following the match between Serbian Novak Djokovic and Bosnian-born American Amer Delic, News. com. au reported.
Melbourne, jan. 23 : British tennis star Andy Murray has blasted rivals Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic and says the moaning pair are only putting pressure on themselves.
The Sun quoted Murray as saying that Federer keeps whinging about being continually asked about Murray's chances of winning the Australian Open.
Murray said: "A few players disagree that I have been made the favourite. There have been some quite big contradictions from both of them. By saying they should be the favourites, they are putting more pressure on themselves."

Djokovic, who eased through his second-round match against Jeremy Chardy in straight sets, believes that the three leading contenders for the title are the same players who won grand slam events last year: himself, Federer, and Rafael Nadal.
