joined the likes of critics who have slammed Nicole Kidman''s turn in
the outback epic ‘Australia’.

Howson told Confidential that he agreed with many of the film''s
reviewers who criticized Baz Luhrmann''s choice of leading lady for the
film.

Regarding the woeful reviews surrounding Kidman''s performance, Howson
said: "Oh, you would go and hang yourself in a barn wouldn''t you?"

According to Howson, Kate Winslet would have been the smarter pick for the role of Lady Sarah Ashley.

"If only (Luhrmann) had put Kate Winslet and Russell Crowe in it ... I

Sydney, Nov 26 : Taking a break from her busy movie schedules, UN Goodwill Ambassador Nicole Kidman took part in a symposium to continue her "Say NO to Violence Against Women" campaign.

The actress recently took part in the symposium during the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

The ‘Australia’ actress announced the signatures of more than five million world leaders and citizens across the globe on a petition promoting the issue, more than five times as many signatures expected.
