Washington, Nov 24: Brit pop singer Leona Lewis has revealed that she would like to follow in the footsteps of American R&B singer Beyonce Knowles.

Lewis, who finds Knowles to be an inspiration, is also keen to explore an acting career just like the Destiny’s Child member.

“Beyonce is great, so lovely and down to earth and talented. She''s inspiring,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

London, Nov 24 : Brit pop and R&B singer Leona Lewis is in talks to join rapper Jay-Z and Beyonce for a celebration concert in honour of U. S. President-elect Barack Obama.

The inauguration concert for Obama will be held in Washington DC on January 20, and a million people are expected to attend and witness the event.

“Various inquiries have been made to Leona’s people about her availability on January 20,” the Sun quoted a source as saying.

“She’s had such a successful past year that joining in the festivities in Washington would be the icing on the cake for her.

New Delhi, Nov 10 : Popstar Leona Lewis just can’t wait to get married to her electrician boyfriend, whom she has been dating since six years.

The 23-year-old popstar has been dating Lou Al-Chamaa since she was 17, and is seriously considering marrying him in the near future, reports the China Daily.

"Of course I want to marry and have children. I would like to have babies and adopt. But it depends what happens,” Leona said.

London, Nov 3: Singer Leona Lewis has revealed that she would love to follow in the footsteps of actress Angelina Jolie by adopting kids.

“I definitely want to adopt, ” the Mirror quoted Lewis, as saying.

“My mum was a social worker and my dad was a youth offender officer, so I know that there are a lot of kids out there that need to be fostered and adopted,” she added.

Lewis has admitted admits her life was changed after a trip to South Africa earlier this year for Sport Relief.

“When I was in Africa I wanted to take home all the kids. They were so cute. All of them had been orphaned because of HIV and it was heart-rending,” she said.

Lewis, who had grown up surrounded by gang violence on an East London estate, noticed that the behaviour of youngsters in the area has gone from bad to worse.

The singer, who was heartbroken when her friend Etem Celebi, 17, was shot dead a year ago, believes that Obama can help get British youngsters from ethnic minorities off the streets if he was elected to the White House.
