Manmohan Singh says Advani weak, not himMumbai, Apr 13 : Carrying forward his verbal retort against Leader of Opposition Lal Krishna Advani, the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, on Monday said that speaking loud was no sign of strength.

"If you read my statement, you will get my answer. Weakness or strength does not come from loud speaking. It comes from your capacity to react on time. The BJP leader has a unique ability to combine strength in speech with weakness in action," Singh said at a press conference here.

Sonia should apologise: Advani

Sonia, AdvaniThiruvanthapuram, Apr 13 : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L K Advani on Monday asked Congress President Sonia Gandhi to apologise for her critical remarks on the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in a recent election meeting in Jharkhand.

Addressing a press conference here, Advani said that he was shocked to hear Gandhi''s statement that, "we are in greater danger from people inside than from foreign terrorists entering India".

Although Sonia Gandhi did not particularly mention a party''s name, Advani said it "substantially accuses us and the comments were clear".

Talking to reporters here, Advani said, "I consider the Third Front as a fallacy. If the Third Front is a fallacy, then the Fourth Front will just be a fantasy."

An alliance of Leftist and regional parties known as the "Third Front" was formally launched to challenge the Congress and the BJP.

Advani vows to bring back money from Swiss banksAllahabad, Apr 9 : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Lal Krishna Advani on Thursday said if voted to power, his party would bring back the Indian money stashed in the Swiss banks.

"The BJP will bring back the huge Indian wealth stashed in the Swiss bank and other tax havens abroad and the money will be put to use for the development of the country," he added.

Advani claimed that no government could be formed in the country without the support of either the BJP or the Congress.
