London, Feb 10 : American actress Jane Fonda has returned to Broadway after being away from the stage for 46 years.

Fonda, 71, is taking part in a production of 33 Variations, Moisés Kaufman''s play about a woman investigating the creative genius of composer Ludwig van Beethoven during his "later" period.

She was last seen on the Great White Way in 1963 when she performed in Eugene O''Neill''s `Strange Interlude', and she now says she looks upon her new four-and-a-half month play as an `adventure'.

Washington, Feb 6 : Legendary actress Jane Fonda has spilled her hatred for accused Ponzi scheme king Bernie Madoff in her blog, saying that she wants to "shake him till his teeth fall out."

Madoff, who effectively is under house arrest as part of his 10 million dollars bail, revealed on December 10 last year that the asset management arm of his firm was a giant Ponzi scheme--or "one big lie."

Washington, January 19: Late actor Heath Ledger was being lined up to portray activist Tom Hayden, Oscar-winning actress Jane Fonda's ex-husband, in a film about the Chicago Seven when he died from an accidental drug overdose in January last year.

Ledger's long-time agent Steve Alexander has revealed that the actor was to discuss the film with filmmaker Steven Spielberg on the day after his death.

London, Dec 4 : Legendary actors Jack Nicholson and Jane Fonda are among the latest figures to be inducted into the California Hall of Fame.

Nicholson and Fonda will be honored at a ceremony in Sacramento on December 15th (08).

Fonda’s induction comes nearly after 30 years, after the State Senate rejected her nomination to the California Arts Council following her candid campaign against the Vietnam War, reports the Daily Star.

London, Nov 5 : American actress Jane Fonda will make her Broadway comeback to perform in ‘33 Variations’ early next year.

The Oscar-winning star made her Broadway debut in 1960 with ‘There Was A Little Girl’ and last appeared in the 1963 drama ‘Strange Interlude’.

Fonda will play modern-day musicologist Katherine Brandt who sets out to discover the reason for Beethoven''s fascination with a trivial waltz.

"I am very excited about being in Moises'' new play,” BBC quoted Fonda, as saying.
