New Delhi, Apr 2 : Union Law Minister H. R. Bhardwaj on Thursday slammed Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt for his statement that an aide of a senior minister of the Congress party threatened him.

A day after the Supreme Court ruled that Dutt cannot run for the ensuing general elections, he alleged that a senior Congress leader threatened him for not joining the party.

As per the media reports, the actor pointed the finger of blame at some aide of Bhardwaj.

New Delhi, Feb 2 : Law Minister H R Bhardwaj has critisised Chief Election Commissioner N Gopalaswami for his insistence on removal of his colleague Navin Chawla.

He warned the CEC not to act like a "political boss" and concentrate on his duties in the Election Commission.

Bharadwaj said that he has to look into the details of the matter.

Asked if the government had taken any decision on the Chief Election Commissioner''s recommendation to remove Chawla, he said, "When a decision is taken, we will inform you."

Union Law Minister H.R. Bhardwaj clarified on Wednesday that no
proposal to change the procedure of appointment of judges to High
Courts and the Supreme Court on the recommendations has made by a
collegium of judges headed by the Chief Justice of India (CJI).

the Law Day celebrations, at the Supreme Court, Bhardwaj referred to
the recent hullabaloo over the collegium recommendations to promote the
