London, Dec 29 : If reports are to believed, outgoing US President George Bush would find it difficult to raise funds for his proposed 300 million dollar library, which is going to be constructed at the Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

According to a report in The Times, work on the 300 million dollar library will begin in January 2009, overseen by the architect Robert Stern, dean of the Yale school of architecture.

Washington, Dec 25: President George W Bush changed his mind on Christmas Eve, pulling back a pardon he had extended a day earlier to a Brooklyn developer at the center of a Long Island real estate fraud case.

White House Press Secretary Dana Perino said the new decision was "based on information that has subsequently come to light," including on the extent and nature of Toussie's prior criminal offenses.

Washington  - A man who sold illicit military equipment and airplanes to Israel in the late 1940s was pardoned for his crimes more than 20 years after his death by US President George W Bush.

Charles Winters was among the 19 individuals Bush granted mercy to on Tuesday, part of the presidential power that snowballs in the waning days of office.

Winters was a Boston-born Protestant businessman who shipped fresh produce overseas, and who in 1948 sold decommissioned B-17 bombers to Israel's Haganah guerrilla group. He apparently even flew one of the planes for delivery, media reports said.

Melbourne, Dec 23 : U. S. president-elect Barack Obama has been likened to George Clooney after photographs of him leaving a gym in Hawaii without his shirt surfaced on the Internet.

Washington, Dec 23 : Muntadhar al-Zeidi, the Iraqi journalist who threw his shoes at President George W. Bush says he would do it again and that he was forced to write a letter of apology after being tortured in jail, his brother said.

Oday al-Zaidi said that the apology letter from Muntadhar was written against his will after he was tortured in detention.

Muntadar, who became an overnight sensation after the act, spent his first days behind bars believing his family, co-workers and tribe would forever shun him, the man''s brother said.
