Kangana Ranaut played a fashion model in Fashion and then Raaz 2.

The role carryover race continues with Emran Hashmi who plays a painter in Raaz 2.

He's now playing the same role in Kunal(Jannat) Deshmukh's Tum Miley .

"But with a difference. You see, this time I actually paint. In Raaz I wasn't really able to do much of that. All the paintings were done beforehand and I didn't get a chance to paint on screen apart from a few strokes ."

Mahesh Bhatt likes to receive gifts from his nephew and favourite protégé Emraan Hashmi. Even on the young actor’s birthday.

Says Emraan, “On my 30th birthday on Tuesday I called Bhatt Saab to ask what he’s giving me. He turned around and made me gift him books. He makes me do that quite often. The only thing is, he doesn’t call it gifts. He calls it guru-dakshina. In fact after every hit film he takes a cheque from me . And every couple of months I give him money to buy books.”

For his birthday all Emraan got from Mahesh Bhatt was a long touching SMS. And a fractured finger.

After a disappointing week, which saw the release of Chandni Chowk To China (CC2C), Bhatt’s Raaz - The Mystery Continues and Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire have brought smile back to viewers’ faces on Friday.

The audiences welcomed both the films with open arms.

At several cinema halls, Raaz - TMC got 70-80% start that was almost double of Hashmi’s last hit ‘Jannat’, and much bigger than last week’s release ‘CC2C’.

The film Raaz, which cost just 1/3rd of CC2C, received much bigger response than that film.

Now the public will get to watch the serial kisser Emraan Hashmi in a "different" role in his forth coming film "Raaz - The Mystery Continues" (RTMC), in which he plays the role of a brooding painter. So finally Emraan is set to spook the audiences with something else other than his trademark multitude of kisses!

Emraan Hashmi will be playing a dark character in his upcoming supernatural thriller "Raaz - The Mystery Continues", a sequel to the Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea starrer 2002 hit film "Raaz".

He will share screen space with Kangana Ranaut and Shekhar Suman's son Adhyayan in the movie. Emraan is playing a role of a painter who can foresee the future and paints the same on his canvas.
