DeGeneres gets Clooney on her show with baseball players’ help

Ellen DeGeneresWashington, Jan 19 : Television hostess Ellen DeGeneres has finally managed to get actor George Clooney on the set of her talk show with the help of baseball players.

DeGeneres, 50, who had made it her mission to feature Clooney on her show, had conducted a "George Watch `08" campaign, with her theme being "George Clooney Is Mine In `09", Fox News reports.

Her efforts to lure him onto the show did not work until the actor's "ER" co-star Noah Wyle told her that Clooney was a fan of some Big Red Machine players from the 1970s.

DeGeneres sought out Cincinnati Reds Hall of Famers Johnny Bench and Joe Morgan, and her team executives helped line up the appearance with Clooney.

The show was taped on January 15 in Burbank, California, to be broadcasted on January 19. (ANI)
